Hygienist and peridontal treatments
Emphasising the overall health of your mouth, at Glen Dental Clinic, the dedicated team advise patients to have regular visits with the dental hygienist who will maintain the oral health of your mouth.
Gum disease is caused by the build-up of plaque and bacteria in the mouth. Effective brushing, flossing and use of a mouthwash can help prevent gum disease and the problems it can cause.
An appointment with the hygienist will involve a thorough scaling and polishing and the hygienist will work with you to ensure you have the knowledge and skills to maintain a healthy mouth away from the practice. if your peridontal (gum) disease does not respond to the treatments udertaken by the hygienist, your dentist will advise on further treatment options available.
